Quick answers about migration, memberships, licenses and SEO.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need WordPress on the new host before I restore?
No. Upload the package zip and the single wcf-restore.php file to an empty web folder, open it in your browser and follow the prompts. It extracts WordPress core, your themes, plugins and uploads, builds wp-config.php and imports the database.
Will my URLs and settings be updated automatically?
Yes. Enter your new site URL during the restore and every occurrence in the database is rewritten — including serialized data used by widgets, page builders and theme options — so nothing breaks.
What is the difference between Lite and Pro?
Lite covers one-click full-site copies, three membership levels and complete SEO output. Pro adds selective exports, scheduled copies, remote FTP storage, a Search & Replace tool, Stripe subscriptions, coupons, drip content and more. See the pricing page for the full comparison.
Can I protect only some pages for members?
Yes. Restrict any post, page or custom post type from the editor, or wrap content in a shortcode. Pro also restricts whole categories and post types and hides menu items per audience.
How do licenses work?
Pro licenses are verified offline with a digital signature, so activation needs no external server. Paste your key in the setup wizard or under each plugin’s License tab. See the license docs.
What does the universal featured image do?
Any post or page without its own featured image automatically shows your universal image in lists, single views and social shares, so every card and share preview always has a picture. Read more on the SEO & media page.
